Wave farm planned for Pentland Firth

A LEADING tidal energy company has announced plans for a major project in the Pentland Firth that could see more than 300 megawatts of power being generated by 2020.
Marine Current Turbines said it plans to apply for a lease to deploy its technology in the firth, which the First Minister said could be the epicentre of Scotland’s future in renewable energy.
